Step Four

Reconnect your shower hose or head and you are done! If your shower head doesn't have any o-rings, use some plumber's tape to seal properly.

Run water for a minute or so to flush out carbon dust.

Safety & Care Notes

  • Hand tighten only - Over tightening may damage threads.
  • Designed for water up to 60Β°C.
  • Replace cartridge every 3-4 months depending on use for best results.
  • Keep out of reach of children when open.

Troubleshooting & Quick Fixes

  • Leak at joins β†’ Check the rubber O-ring (small black piece of rubber) is present in your filter.
If there is still a leak after installing. Remove the filter and add plumbers tape on the thread and screw back on to finish the seal.
  • Low water pressure β†’ Our filters are designed to maintain your shower pressure, if you notice an issue with this, it can mean your cartridge needs flushing (see below) or replacing.
  • Strange taste or cloudy water β†’ Flush your filter. Run water for 1-3 mins to activate the filter and clear any residual particles.
  • Loose fit β†’ Ensure you have tightened your filter enough. It should be tightened gently but not forced.

Replacing the Cartridge

  • When your shower is off, unscrew your filter.
  • Unscrew the top from the filter housing. Next, unscrew the body section from the end cap, exposing the cartridge.
  • Remove old cartridge and insert new one.
  • Reattach the filter body and top securely by hand.
  • Reattach the filter to your shower
  • Run water for 1–3 mins before use to flush the new cartridge.
  • Replace every 3-4 months depending on the number of users and water quality in your area.
  • Safely dispose of your used cartridge. The filter material can be emptied into your compost and the housing put into the recycling bin.
